As announced on Yannick’s blog , sh404SEF® became too big for one person to handle. As part of a larger team, we fully intend for sh404SEF® to return to active development with a frequent release schedule.
To this end, we will release a new version of sh404SEF® on Thursday, 10-September with new features and some bug fixes. The existing version and future updates will now be available on a subscription-only basis along with posting access on the sh404SEF® forum. The existing FAQs are already available and in the coming days, the documentation will be transferred and expanded into a ‘user manual’. Anything Digital is committed to releasing GPL-licensed extensions and sh404SEF® will join JCal Pro®, Advanced Search and RSVP in this regard.
Yannick has been a strong influence in the Joomla developer community, and has set a high bar for other SEF developers, especially with the security and SEO features that are standard in sh404SEF®. Together, we intend to push the limits of URL and security management even further. Similar to JCal Pro® development, the sh404SEF® forum will be closely monitored by our team and will be used to identify bugs for addition to the sh404SEF® bug tracker and subsequent patching.
Welcome to the team Yannick! I think I speak for the entire community when I say "we expect great things from this partnership" :)
