sh404SEF® for Joomal 1.5.x requires the following system specifications**:

• PHP 5.2+
• Joomla 1.5.15

Additional parameters typical in most hosted server environments are not listed. However, note that the new Analytics features available from version 2.1 upward require the cUrl library to be enabled in your PHP configuration, and also the GD library with Freetype support compiled in (these should be available in most web server setups by default).

Likewise, as we already made the transition to Joomla! 1.6 language file format, the PHP function parse_ini_file is required. It it sometimes disabled by some web hosting company, and so should be enabled again.

sh404SEF® MAY work with earlier versions of PHP/Joomla, but there are known issues (such as a pagination which requires a fix in Joomla only possible in PHP 5) that will not work as expected if the specifications above are not met.

Additionnaly, only the Apache web server is fully supported. While IIS and other servers, like nginx, will work quite well with sh404sef, we cannot provide support for them.

** The PHP and MySQL requirements for sh404SEF® match those recommended for Joomla itself (Joomla's minimum requirements are not sufficient).
