Itemid and duplicate URL management

Symptom: Modules are not showing on your page, or specific templates you selected do not show after activating sh404sef

Solution: While this behaviour may be caused by module assignent errors (ie: please ensure that the desired module or template is indeed set to display on the specific menu item), the most likely reason is because of the Joomla Itemid issue, a long standing characteristic of Joomla that has pros and cons, but in our case has caused headaches for years.
