Any new JCAL Pro information on upgrade path to Joomla 1.7

With the advent of Joomla 1.7 - I was wondering if there was a new timeline for introducing a JCal version for Joomla 1.7.

I have a handful of sites sitting without the ability to upgrade due to JCAL being the only component left to not be compatible.

Let me and others know. Thanks!

No new information. The latter part of a project like this is always the hardest. Our best estimate is still Q3 to Q4 of this year.

I too just bought jCal because I used to use it years ago and it was always great (It says it's been going for 5 years development)

I just assumed it was compatible with Joomla 1.6/1.7 because of the age of the program.
Considering none of the information pages that I could see said otherwise or warning that it was only available for 1.5 until you actually go to download it. It's little disappointing.

Hopefully it will be ready soon. In the meantime. Maybe add a bit more information to say it's NOT compatible yet.

Same here.. just bought it... as there was standing "Joomla 1.5.15+" where "minimal requirments". But it seems not to work with joomla 1.6?

Well, the extensions looks great... but what can we do with it, i've it is not working! Hopefully we get a free update soon?

Same here. No support for Joomla 1.6. WHAT GIVES? 3-4th qtr is VERY vague. an exact upgrade date would be VERY helpful.

I have also been waiting, and asking, about an upgrade path since the advent of Joomla 1.6! .... I have had 2 clients waiting for this superior product. Given this reiteration of such a vague release date (the same thing I've been hearing for countless months), I must find another solution, or risk my reputation with my clientele. I hope the folks here understand how loyal their customers are, and how screwed we are (because of our reputation with our clients) when an upgrade is not released promptly. C'mon guys ...

I'd like to add my voice to the upgrade line..we're in the process of upgrading all of our sites to 1.7. It's disappointing to find the upgrade of extensions going slowly...

I do have to agree with everyone here that it would be nice to know it exactly when the release of JCal Pro for Joomla 1.7 will be. All the other extensions I use are 1.7 capable, but not JCal Pro.

My site needs a calendar and I still want to use JCal Pro, but might have to look into another calendar, which I don't want to do. So more information for us would greatly be appreciated.

The Timeline may be rather vague, but it has always been said that it will be ready in the 3rd or 4th Quarter of this year, so there are no surprises. We are now halfway through the 3rd Quartal, if they do not make it in the next month, then it will be the 4th Quartal. As far as nothing being said before purchasing, then please check this link;

It is clearly shown that it is only for J1.5.
I am not trying to make excuses for A-D, I too would also like to be able to use it with J1.7, but I have not made any Illusions about updating to J1.7 before the end of this year or the beginning of next year. There are just too many things that do not work 100%, and I am not talking about the different MOdules, PlugIns and Components that I use (there are enough problems with them) but also j1.7 still has some problems. Before all those are worked out, I will not use it on a live Site, let alone recommend it to a client.
