Can you use the default redshop search plugin with advanced search?

Im trying to search for products in redshop using advanced search 3 but searching by product number isn't working for me. The redshop joomla search plugins are turned on and I checked configuration in advanced search but not sure what I'm doing wrong. Does advance search work with the redshop search plugins to search for products?

Yes it works with the default joomla search

I've tried this on a server where I am testing J2.5 Beta. It is not a direct comparison, however it should yield the same results.

Advanced Search is not recognizing the Search Plugin - Redshop Productsearch as part of the search areas. I have submitted a ticket to the developers requesting the analyze this plugin to see if there is a reason for this, generally Joomla Search Plugins do work with Advanced Site Search.

The tickets are private

I have contacted the lead for this and I am going to set up an environment for this to be recreated. I'll push for an explanation in the next day or two.
