Re: JFTP::write: Bad response

Hello AAA,

If you`re using FTP layer on that website go to joomla "Global Configuration" and disable it, then go to Help > System Info > Directory permissions and make sure all those files/folders are Writable. and see if it solves your problem

Re: JFTP::write: Bad response

I saw that solution in a previous thread but was not clear whether the ftp layer had an affect on Advance Search. I have disabled and checked that that the directories are writeable. The two client sites still are not pulling results.

Re: JFTP::write: Bad response

I don't think the ftp layer affects it does it? No change with the other sites with it disabled.

Could joomfish or a slow site be the problem?

Re: JFTP::write: Bad response

Is there a way to error check or troubleshoot why a remote site is not feeding search results? Thanks.

Re: JFTP::write: Bad response

Hello AAA,

The error tells you exactly that the ftp use couldn`t had access over some files of your website. That`s why I suggest you disable the FTP layer in "Global Configuration" and then go to Help > System Info > Directory permissions and make sure again that all those files and folders are Writable
