The 2012 Joomla World Conference has wrapped up

The show is over and it has taken a few days to settle back in and reflect.

The 2012 Joomla World Conference was a resounding success and Anything Digital would like to thank the organizers for making this another Joomla event we have been very proud to sponsor. There was always some session to meet the needs of any and all the attendees. Session were included from varied topics within the Joomla Community, Designer, Integrator, and Developer streams.

Anything Digital was well represented as Victor Drover, Ron van Schaik and Jeff Channell as well as Yannick Gaultier (lead developer of Josetta® and sh404SEF®) were there to not just to represent but also to present. The Watchful booth was constantly buzzing with excitement which filled us with pride and the adrenaline which along with the constant flow of coffee kept us going.

Victor's presentation "Is Joomla 3 ready for enterprise?" was very well received by a room that was filled beyond capacity. The talk was provocative yet motivating and was thoroughly discussed between sessions. Fortunately all the sessions at the 2012 Joomla World Conference were professionally recorded and should be available in a week or so. We've posted some photos from the event to tide you over until then.

Yannick took part of the lightning talks to present some of the insight into the use of Josetta® Translation Manager for Joomla.

Some highlights of the conference for me personally were the keynotes speeches by the talented Steve Fisher titled "A Real Responsive Process?" and the always provocative Kevinjohn Gallagher's "Emperor's New Clothes (v2), or how I learned to ask ‚"Is the cool thing the right thing?"" and most importantly meeting so many of the Joomla people that affect our work and lives daily.

The event took place on November 16th to 18th at the eBay Town Hall Campus in San Jose California.
