Today we are excited to announce that work on Agora 4 is nearing competition. It is is slated for a beta release in February and as of this writing is the only bulletin board written natively for Joomla.

Rebuilt from the ground up, Agora 4 will work natively in Joomla 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 2.5 and beyond.

Agora 4 was designed for simplicity and modularity. That means you’ll be able to easily redesign views such as a post layout using standard Joomla template overrides.

Standard features such as avatars, polls, announcements and even ACL are all independent Agora add-ons meaning you can customize your bulletin board to your audience to be lean and mean, "all you can eat" and anything in between.

While we finish up the beta release I have attached a few screenshots to whet your whistle.

Keep your eye on the News page, the Announcements board, Twitter and our Newsletter to be notified as soon as Agora 4 is available.
