Recently, important updates were released for Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 3.1 that address a critical security issue where unauthorized file uploads may be uploaded to a site.

Joomla 1.5 is also affected by this vulnerability. However Joomla 1.5 has reached it's end-of-life and therefore no update is being released for it. A patch has been published, however it cannot simply be installed using Joomla's extension manager.

Anything Digital is proud to announce the immediate availability of an installable package — SECURITY PATCH 31626 — that easily installs the Joomla 1.5 Security Patch like any Joomla extension.

Watchful team members from Inetis and Anything Digital attended J and Beyond 2013. J and Beyond is one of the largest and most comprehensive events of the year for Joomla users, designers, and developers. It is a great opportunity to come together as a global community to meet and learn about Joomla.

One of the noteable events on the itinerary at J and Beyond is the JOSCARS, the Joomla! Open Source Creative and Artistic Recognition Awards.

In the recent weeks we looked at how JCal Pro® 3 has integrated email notifications, and how this relates to managing registrations.

The JCal Pro® 3 Email Manager provides extremely powerful and flexible automatic notification system calendar-related email.

Let’s look into some simple opportunities to optimize your email notifications to increase leads, and repeat registrants.

Upsell

Good upselling starts with paying attention what your users are interested in already. Following event registration, a notification with post-sale upsell is one of the most commonly overlooked techniques. It’s much easier to sell another product or event ticket to an existing customer than it is to find a new one.

Two weeks ago we looked at Email Manager and Registration Features of JCal Pro® 3. While last week we interrupted the series with a post to introduce the integrations of the great new Joomla 3 Tags feature and how tagging can be used in JCal Pro® 3.

This post expands on some of the lesser known advanced features of the email manager such as multi-lingual emails, the powerful Email Tags feature, the user plugin and the email editor. Finally we will tie this all together with email notification marketing tips to increase your event attendance, and increase loyal attendees.

Today we are proud to announce the immediate availability of JCal Pro® 3.2.6 (build 2856), which is fully compatible with Joomla! 2.5 and 3.1!

This is a maintenance release.

This release includes fixes for various reported issues and adds several features. Included are refinements in the responsive Inspired theme and locations layout, and fixes related to language and category filters as well as email tags.

J and Beyond 2013

J and Beyond is back for the fourth year, and so is Anything Digital as we pack our bags for Joomla at the Beach, 31 May – 2 June 2013 in Noordwijkerhout, Netherlands. As in past J and Beyond conferences, we are thrilled to meet our users, show our products and services, and network with our colleagues.

In April Joomla 3.1 was released with the Tags feature that many in the Joomla community have been waiting for with great anticipation. At Anything Digital we were excited to see this feature implemented and felt it was important we integrate the Joomla tags core feature into JCal Pro® 3, the Joomla Calendar, immediately.

We are happy to be able to announce that Tags are now part of JCal Pro® 3.

Why does loading time matter?

It's simple. Speed kills — in a good way. Your bounce rate, conversions — heck, even your site's SEO performance changes for the better once your load times decrease. Take a look at this detailed graph that illustrates how conversions drop drastically with slower sites:
